Back again is another SFMC release, our 4th one yet this year 2021! Here is an overview of the release, be prepared for more amazing features for your marketing needs.

Datorama Insights for Slack

Let’s start with Datorama Insights for Slack. The ability to easily collaborate across your business on marketing analytics.

What are the benefits? 

You can connect your marketing data in Datorama and share visualization with stakeholders and the team, directly from the Datorama dashboards to slack. This will also optimize campaigns faster as you can set up automated alerts in Datorama to send a notification in Slack about KPIs and insights, making it quick and easy to view your customer engagement in real time. But most importantly a faster route towards improving the performance of your business!

Datorama Reports for Marketing Cloud Enhancements

New features of the latest version of the Datorama Reports is that Corporate, Enterprise and Pro customers can now analyze campaign performance!  

What are the benefits? 

Thanks to Datorama’s built-in querying and exporting tools, you can explore your data seamlessly using low or no-code queries in Datorama Reports Advanced which saves you time and effort. The marketer-friendly dashboard enables you to view, share, and customize campaign reports to suit your needs. 

Interaction Studio: Experience Cloud Integration

You can now integrate Interaction Studio on Experience Cloud. Delivering personalized digital experiences faster than ever with these two powerful tools in one! What can get any better than this? 

What are the benefits? 

Connecting these both can reinvent the customer experience with personalized portals, mobile applications, data-driven sites, for each person’s affinities. Also, you can now break down silos and content to also personalize a consistent journey. These personalizations across your websites and apps will build a whole new customer digital experience.

Wait Until Push Engagement – Journey Builder Activity

Now let’s deep dive into the enhancements of the new Wait Activity for Push Notifications in Journey Builder. Marketers can now easily drag and drop the activity on Journey Builder, unlike before where you had to create queries and decision splits to determine whether a user opened a push notification or not.

What are the benefits? 

As a marketer you can now react in real time based on triggers or user behaviours and view whether the contact opens your push notification within a defined time frame or not. This then allows you to set the customer down an alert path, if the engagement hasn’t occurred in the specified time frame. With this feature you can also take the personalization experience to another level, by wishing the customers a happy birthday or reminding users of abandoned cart items, this will definitely make the customers feel special.

Datorama: Scenario Planning for Media Planning Center

By comparing budget scenarios and projecting performance based on data, you can now optimise budget allocations and enhance your ROI from your media strategies. 

What are the benefits? 

With 5 different AI-driven approaches used to forecast. You can quickly switch between various forecasting formulas, including those created using Einstein Marketing Insights. Additionally, with the support of this enhancement, you can now make well-informed decisions. It uses Einstein’s power to estimate and help you understand the predicted accuracy of forecasts.

To wrap up, this has been the most intriguing and eagerly anticipated Marketing Cloud update of the year. These capabilities will aid marketing cloud experts in executing cross-channel marketing campaigns to their clients. It’s amazing how Salesforce has been encouraging organisations to include machine learning algorithms into their workflows and campaign management.
