The Trigg Digital team were super excited to partner with Salesforce to volunteer for the Children’s Book Project in Chelsea on the 8th December. We spent the day together sorting and delivering books for underprivileged Children, Women in refuge, parents in Prisons to send home to children and  refugee groups living in hotels. Books are also distributed to Children in 850 London schools, so children from all backgrounds are engaged.

A fantastic day was had by all, providing deliveries of books to schools, sorting books into categories and age groups, boxing up Christmas packages, and packaging books, followed by evening entertainment and great collaboration. Trigg are super proud of our team and a big thank you to the Salesforce team too in helping the charity’s amazing work and making a difference to children’s lives for christmas.

Did you know: 1 in 4 disadvantaged children have fewer than 10 books at home

According to the charity, books have been linked to improving mental health and that children from book rich homes tend to progress with language development much quicker than those with fewer than 10 books at home. Giving back is in Trigg’s DNA and we were super happy to support this charity alongside Salesforce to do our bit to make every child feel part of their reading community.

Help the Children’s Book Charity change the story

If you are in a position to do so, the charity is always on the look out for donations of any new or gently used children’s books which you can donate to them via one of their Book Hubs. These books will be placed directly into the hands of those families that will benefit most. You can also volunteer your time or simply donate to the charity. You can find out how to do each of these on their website.

The team were super excited to get involved with the Children’s Book Project to give back to the community. Trigg are committed to meeting our Pledge 1% commitment and not only is it for a great cause but its also great to meet up with colleagues and work together to build something meaningful for the local area.

If you and your team are looking to do something similar and give back, then get in touch with the charity today!
