Within the Salesforce Marketing Products there are two main players in the game; Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Pardot. In this post we are going to dive into Pardot and tell you about how this can help your business.

If you want to learn more about Marketing Cloud check out our post here.

What is Pardot?

Pardot is a Marketing Automation system designed for mostly businesses that deal directly with other businesses (B2B).

It natively syncs with Salesforce Data and enhances this with scoring and grading capabilities to give you an idea of who is most engaged with your content or who best fits your ideal customer persona.

What tools are available?

Within Pardot you can segment your customers by criteria or different factors,so for example you could create a list of customers in the United Kingdom within the Technology Industry with greater than 100 employees.

You can track the impact of your Marketing Campaigns so you can see what is performing the best, how much engagement a set of marketing efforts is providing and most importantly what your return on investment is.

You can build personalised Marketing Journeys using a point and click based interface with branching based on certain actions. This is very handy to nurture your customers or perhaps introduce a uniform onboarding process for new customers.

You can use automations to assign records based on certain criteria or actions and also keep track of your file usage to see who is engaging with what files.

Using Pardot Forms and Pardot Form Handlers you can create native forms or collect information from your current forms to create/update records and perform actions such as sending an auto response email or a link to download the requested file.

With the Email Capabilities you can easily create templates using the Builder or from your current HTML which can be personalized as necessary to make the best impression.

Pardot has the ability to host Landing Pages if you want to drive customers to a page to sign up for a particular webinar or to download a whitepaper.

You can integrate your 3rd party tools into the system such as Google Ads and Go to Webinar to provide more valuable insights into what your customer base is up to and what webinars are delivering the best results.

Lastly but by no means least you can utilize Pardot’s social abilities to schedule posts to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and gather insight on the responses to these via clicks, replies, comments and likes for example.

Conclusion

By adding Pardot to your Salesforce you can provide your marketing team the tools to enrich your data, generate new leads and to measure the success of your efforts to ensure return on investment.
